Employment Support & Career Services
We provide access to a range of services designed to support individuals with disabilities in finding and maintaining employment. This includes education, training, work-based learning opportunities, and job placement support.
We also help you navigate federal, state, and local programs, so you can access the benefits and services available to you and understand how they connect to your employment goals. Auxiliary aids and supportive services are available upon request to help ensure services remain accessible and equitable.
Ticket to Work Program
The Workforce Assistance Center is an approved Employment Network (EN) provider for Social Security’s Ticket to Work program—a free and voluntary program for individuals ages 18–64 receiving SSI or SSDI who want to work.
What the program offers:
- Career counseling and guidance
- Benefits planning to understand how work impacts SSI/SSDI
- Job search and placement support
- Job coaching and on-the-job training
- Assistance with workplace accommodations
- Ongoing support to help you stay employed
Additional benefits:
- Continued Medicare or Medi-Cal coverage in many cases
- Protection from medical reviews while participating
- Expedited reinstatement of benefits if needed

Assistive Technology
We offer access to assistive technology designed to support independence and improve access to training and employment. Equipment is available at our facilities and can be requested based on your needs.
Available tools include:
- Screen readers and text-to-speech software (Kurzweil 1000/3000)
- Magnification devices and large-print tools
- Braille devices and translation software
- Adaptive keyboards and communication tools
- Audio book players and video relay systems
